Admission Process: 

Admission criteria consist of the student’s interest and character, academic stamina and achievements, recommendations, formal interviews and assessments.

Process:

Parents are required to fill up the form in order to schedule a formal interaction. Kindly respect the protocol. Fill in different forms for more than one child. Upload all the documents related to mental and physical health, as the need be apart from academic reports. If the child has been homeschooled, please mention the routine of the family and the dedicated hours for academics and other activities that the child is used to.

This is an educational setup, though small in number, nevertheless is professionally managed by a dedicated group of teachers with the support of like minded parents, therefore the logistics are planned well in advance, any Walk-ins, Whatsapp messages, unscheduled visits are NOT acceptable.
Akshara Manèy's small group size limits available child slots annually. 

1. Filling up the Application form. Submit Application form and receive schedule for orientation at a much later date.

2. Parents attend orientation on Campus, to get a fair idea about our intent, see the campus, meet our faculty and judge for oneself if further processes are necessary.

3. After receiving the forms and post the orientation session, we will be scrutinising and shortlisting applicants based on the responses and shall be invited for a formal interaction. The child will be assessed academically and for mental stamina. Along with assessing individual merit and suitability for an Akshara Manèy education, class dynamics and a student's potential contribution are also considered.

4. The school communicates with parents about the admission process, whether we move ahead together or not.

5. Acceptance letters for the upcoming school year are dispatched soon after the decision are taken.

6. Upon acceptance, a non-refundable tuition deposit, a signed enrolment consent for home-schooling and other related documentation is necessary to secure admission.

​Special Needs:
Currently, we are not equipped to take in children with learning disabilities, slow learners, ADHD or autism spectrums since there aren't enough resources and infrastructure on the current campus.

Nitty Gritty:
Families who have exposed and empowered their children to be more independent in terms of handling personal hygiene, sitting on the floor for longer durations for classroom sessions, eating food with one hand and without cutlery, and being able to use toilet without external prompts, be open to doing daily chores like serving food, sweeping, mopping, working and cleaning the garden, dusting, washing utensils, cleaning washrooms, keeping track of their own belongings, being able to wear their clothes properly, tie up pyjamas and shoe laces, button up shirts, roll up their sleeves, are robust for physical challenges and workouts in nature .... more importantly a child who is able to adjust to peers and be part of team spirit of the class, are more likely to feel more at home at Akshara Manèy. However, parents whose children are picky eaters, unaware of personal belongings, or lack sensory perception of nature and themselves might have a lot of un-conditioning to brave! It might seem like a lot of demands for a child, but such is the life at Akshara Manèy Nature Shaalèy.
